Student Employment

Federal Work Study is a federally subsidized employment program awarded to FAMU through the Financial Aid Office. This award is based upon a student financial need. Unlike other aid that is credited to the bill, a bi-weekly paycheck is received based on hours a student has worked.

  • All students interested in FWS must be verified for eligibility and approved by the Financial Aid Office.
  • FWS is only available to currently enrolled and registered FAMU students
  • Hourly pay rate and work hours per week are determined by FWS award

Student Other Personal Services are at-will, temporary employment positions

  • Student OPS positions are available based upon available department funds.
  • Student OPS positions are only available to currently enrolled and registered FAMU students
  • Hourly pay rate and work hours per week are determined by ESUA Director and area supervisor
