FAMU's Spring 2022 Commencement ceremonies will be held on Friday, April 29 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 30 at 9 a.m.

 

Spring 2022 Commencement Information

Key Details:

Tickets are not required for the Spring 2022 Commencement ceremonies. However, guests are expected to remain seated during the events and standing will not be permitted in the concourse.

ADA Parking Information

The following information provides details on ADA parking on campus during the Commencement exercises. Shuttle buses will be available for transportation to the ceremonies from all locations listed below.

You may watch the Commencement ceremonies on FAMU's Facebook page, FAMU's YouTube channel: FAMUTube1887, or on FAMU TV20.

The deadline to submit the intent to graduate was Tuesday, January 18, and the deadline to apply for graduation was Friday, March 4, 2022.

The University will not limit the number of individuals graduates may invite to Commencement. Tickets are not needed to enter the ceremonies.

Yes, the University's clear bag policy will be enacted and enforced during the ceremonies. You may click here for details about the policy.

Commencement rehearsal will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 4 p.m. in the Al Lawson, Jr., Multipurpose Center.

You may purchase regalia online using this link and from the University bookstore.  

Please contact your dean for information about honor cord distribution. Additional information is forthcoming.

The pinning ceremonies will be announced at a later date. Please contact your dean for more information.

Students are required to participate in the ceremony for which they have applied for graduation. For example, if a student applies for graduation during the Spring term, they will only be able to participate in the Spring Commencement ceremony. There are no exceptions to this policy.

The University will be following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding wearing a mask and social distancing.
