Web Services

The Web Services Team is committed to providing quality web services to faculty, students, staff, and users across the globe.

Web Services is responsible for the main website, FAMU.edu, as well as many other university websites. As a team of developers, creatives, analytical thinkers, designers, and content organizers who have a passion for pushing the creative envelope, we are responsible for the overall presence, appearance, and functionality of FAMU's website.  Using our vast expertise, we create dynamic web experiences by producing products that are functional, informative, and aesthetically pleasing.

In addition to managing the FAMU website, we are also responsible for:

Content Management System (CMS)

The Content Management System (CMS) helps keep FAMU's website accurate and up-to-date. The CMS assists content managers across the entire campus with maintenance and upkeep of departmental websites. As we strive to provide dynamic web experiences, website content is consistently updated with the most recent news and information.

Task Management System (TMS)

The Task Management System (TMS) is a custom-built application that allows faculty and staff to report technology issues, make data requests, and submit various inquiries. Managers are able to distribute the workload and service the needs of the FAMU community.  The TMS allows for a strategic and efficient approach to responding to the needs of the university.  With each task, there is a complete history from request to completion, which allows managers and users to review their past efforts and response times, and adjust their efforts to provide the best service to users.
